In Flight Retrievers
Michigan Pointing Labs
Welcome to the In Flight Retrievers family, where we strive to breed and train the highest performing pointing labs. Training is also available for other pointing and retrieving breeds. Ryan Pasman will tailor his training program to meet what you need from your dog, whether it be hunting basics or competition training. He regularly takes dogs to the 4X Grand Master Pointing Retriever level and beyond, to the American Pointing Labrador Association Triple Crown Invitational. He also trains and handles dogs to Hunting Retriever Champion titles and will be running AKC Master Hunter next year. We love every opportunity to spotlight the talent that these dogs possess.

Our Training Process
In Flight Retrievers offers basic to advanced/master level training for both upland and waterfowl hunting. Basic Pointing/Upland Bird Dog and Basic Retriever/Duck Dog training, which are both around 3-4 month programs. These can include training on: Bird Intro, Gun Intro, Whoa Break, Force Fetch, Basic Obedience, Collar Conditioning, Basic Marking.
At the end of the basic pointing/upland program, your dog will hold point and be steady to shot (dog will stay until the bird is shot). Your dog will deliver the bird to hand; it will sit, stay, and walk at heel. Your dog will do simple marks and pick up ducks with the basic retrieving program. Upon request, your dog can be taught to go through decoys and deal with live ducks.
After this foundation is laid, additional training is offered to take your dog to more advanced levels, including being steady to wing and shot, marking singles and multiples, and running blind retrieves.
